Using broadband Internet access to grow New Mexico?s economy and accelerate community development is the focus of a summit August 3 in Albuquerque.
Organizers of the "Statewide Broadband Summit" said attendees can ?help build recommendations for policymakers and companies."
The event will be held at the Albuquerque Marriott?
at 2101 Louisiana Blvd. NE from 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.?Internet broadband connectivity is becoming as fundamental a utility as water, electricity and phone service. Due to widespread rural and tribal communities, and New Mexico?s rocky landscape, statewide access to affordable and reliable broadband can be a challenge,? a news release said.
Topics at the event include digital literacy, education, economic development, health, governance and collaboration and tribal issues.
