The Magical Cyclades Island Of Paros

Paros is one of the more than 6,000 islands found in Greece. Why is it magical?

The Heaven that is Paros
There is no doubt that Greece is one of the most renowned holiday destinations in the world. And it is for good reason! The Cyclades Island perhaps account for this popularity of Greece. There is a lot to see and experience in Greece, both in the mainland and the Cyclades Islands. Every traveler wants a destination that is a hot spot for magical tourism. In Greece, this primarily means visiting some of the famous Cyclades islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Corfu, and Crete amongst others. But these common destinations have become all too common! Paros offers a break from the typical Greek travel experience. It opens the gates to a wonderful, magical Island unlike any other in the Cyclades. The Island of Paros features pristine beaches and clear water with amazing surroundings. The waters are calm for water activities and the local populace quite friendly. The night life is one of a kind and there is lots to do while touring. When contemplating a Greek holiday, Paros is a good location to start with. But why must Paros form part of your travel itinerary? Here are the reasons:

Easy access
Unlike some of the Cycladic Islands, Paros is inarguably one of the easiest to access by both sea and air. You can either fly direct from Athens or use the ferry. Perhaps your choice of transport can be guided by your overall travel requirements. If you cant wait to get to Paros, flying obviously comes in handy. But if you want to enjoy the local scenery on your way to Paros, the ferry is most appropriate. Simply take a taxi to Piraeus, the Athens port and board a ferry for Paros. Dont worry about the price difference, its almost the same! Whereas the flight takes 35 minutes, the ferry takes around 5 hours at most. The ferry ride offers a glimpse of other Islands, both the inhabited and uninhabited, as well as rocks etc. However, the flight is more attractive, offering stunning views from above. Ferries servicing the trip include Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, and Aegean Speed Lines.

Wonderful Accommodation
Paros has some of the most heavenly accommodation amongst the Cyclades Islands. One such location is Heaven Nauossa, a small city in Paros that lives up to its name! The city is perfect for holiday goers looking for peace and quiet. Its streets are quiet and its situated not far from the main port town. Accommodation is affordable, ranging from villas, suites, beach hotels and even villages. However, Naoussas signature is its magical Santa Maria beaches! The beaches are just 10 minutes from the town and offer an amazing break from the hassles and bustles of life. The wonderful island landscape dots the background to the beaches. Most of the hotels have all the necessary amenities for a perfect holiday, including hot water, food, satellite TV, dial phone, fridge, air conditioning, etc. Some hotels even have balconies, perfect for watching the sun set or rise over the magical island landscape.
