At the booth, GenArts Chief Scientist Gary Oberbrunner and Sapphire Product Manager Alan Lorence will be available to show off the latest innovations in Sapphire version 6, including the customizable lens flare editor and the intuitive visual preset browser. Designed to optimize productivity, Sapphire v6 enables visual effects artists customize their work quickly to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
"I'm excited to exhibit our newest version of Sapphire at the NAB Show this year," says Gary Oberbrunner, Chief Scientist and co-founder of GenArts. "We designed it to be fast and customizable so artists can create a precise look and quickly render to produce the highest quality images every time. I think NAB attendees will really respond to our new features and workflow enhancements."
Sapphire v6 has been met with rave reviews since its release last year. Mike Seymour of FX Guide says in his review, "This module shows user interface design and clever programming that we have not seen in years in Sparks. To be short - someone who actually uses the product a lot must have gotten together with someone who genuinely cares - no - loves Flame/ Smoke users and rewrote the Spark in a truly helpful and sensible way."
Also at the booth during the show are several notable GenArts VFX artists. J Schulte, a Digital Artist at Industrial Light & Magic, will show work from Academy Award-winning Rango, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon and trailers from upcoming Battleship and Avengers. Chris Wirth, Executive Creative Director at Universal Images, will show off a spot he recently created for Bosch, Light 'Em Up. Mark Chesak, Editor and Avid Certified Instructor, will also be showing a project created for ESPN highlighting the Ironman Lake Placid competition.
