Business Insider's 10 Worst Ads of 2011

If the 10 Worst Ads of 2011 have a theme, it's an obsession with the human body -- and not in a good way. Anyone who wanted to make a truly terrible ad this year seemed to recruit from the bottom of the barrel for commercials that only 7-year-old boys could love.

It was a marked change of pace from last year's collection of badvertising, which relied heavily on shrill annoyance as its main offensive mechanism.

As usual, the contenders were a mix of the great and the small. Procter & Gamble, the world's biggest advertiser, is here, along with the usual collection of local TV station horrors. (And yes, that's a lingerie model being used as a chair, above, for Agent Provocateur.)

Some of the ads are slightly unsafe for work -- another reason why they're terrible, of course -- so proceed with care.

If you can't stand this slideshow, comfort yourself instead with the 10 Best Ads of 2011.
