College Picks, Week 7: When all else fails, just go with Stanford

Whew, I went with the service academies last week and I can?t remember them being so awful all at once in a while. I jinxed ?em.

Won?t do it again, land or sea.

My fault.

?-KAWAKAMI (last week 0-3, overall 8-9-1)/

* STANFORD -21, over Washington State. My comment: The Cardinal has won its last 7 in a row and 13 of its last 17?dating to the start of last year?by more than 20 points, and a grand majority of those by 30 or more.

Stanford is a Cover Machine. Make it 8 in a row by 20+ with this one, I?ll guess.

* OREGON STATE -3, over BYU. My comment: It?s almost November. Mike Riley is coaching again.

* NORTHWESTERN +6, over Iowa. My comment: The old formula?take NU when it?s close to a TD?underdog, stay away when it?s favored by?a TD or more. Even if my Wildcats are headed to their fourth straight loss, I?ll grab the points here.

-I went 2-1 in extra picks last week, making me 4-1 in EPs overall. I?ll make a couple more.

* MICHIGAN +2.5, over Michigan State.

* LSU -16.5, over Tennessee.

?-PURDY (last week 1-0, overall 3-2-1)/

* OHIO STATE +4, over Illinois.?Purdy comment:?Buckeyes aren?t great but Illini are overrated. And when was the last time Ohio State got this many points against anyone?
